
Advanced Topics in Supportive Services
Between September 1st and October 1st
we will be launching our Advanced Topics in Supportive Services. They will focus on advanced Peer Support, but also Psychiatric Rehabilitation which is very similar to Peer Support.
It will include a focus on how people in the field work together on teams and navigate the different services, helping people who need support get what they need to have a REAL chance at recovery.

Peer recovery-focused education/training,
including education in documentation, community/family education,
case management, crisis management, Recovery-Oriented Systems of Care (ROSC),
screening and intake, identification of indicators of substance use and/or co-occurring disorders for referral, service coordination, service planning, cultural awareness and/or humility, and basic pharmacology.
Finally, we discuss HIV/other pathogens education.
