Story Share Activity

Hi!

Welcome to the Story Share Activity. Many of you may already have experience sharing your recovery story. We wont go into great length of what they should look like. We are going to rely in this activity on getting feedback from our partner on what they think went well or did not go so well with our story share.

****One thing we will mention for safety sake, is if you are going to share something that at one time may have been traumatizing to you, consider whether or not it should be shared. If this is the case, and sharing it will help your story make sense to the listener, please check in with them first to see if they are willing to hear about something that could be retraumatizing. If you do share something like this, carefully consider what details you think are truly neccesary to fulfil the mission of story telling which is to reduce the separations between us as supporters and the Peers we serve, as well as showing that recovery is possible!

Step 1 -

Create a post below, or respond to another persons post who has already made one. The post should let people know you are looking for a partner to do this activity with. Please indicate the best time you think you could meet to work on this, and be sure to check for replies! ---> if your responding to someone's post, let them know your willing to work with them and when you think your free to meet.

The Zoom Meeting room is open from 6am until 4pm every day.

*** you can share anywhere between 5 to 10 minutes each switching roles of sharer and listener after each partner speaks. Afterward, you can talk about it a little and give each other feedback, validation, etc.

Step 2 -

Once you and your partner agree on a time:
